Kids are chaos! lol

Published by rkrissy under family, kids Edit This

So, I haven’t uploaded the Imagination Movers pictures yet. lol I will, honestly. Today was a hectic day. I never got to my HSBC shop because there was insane traffic on the Cross Bronx because of one lane being open. I rescheduled my shop for Monday the 23rd. Tomorrow I have to go to Bardonia, NY and I’m leaving at 2 on the dot to get there by 4. It’s only 45 minutes. I’m sure I can find something else to do around there. I have to get that shop done because I need the money .

I’ve been meaning to post this adorable picture for a few days but completely forgot. I took this (with my Blackberry, excuse the quality!) on Valentines day when we went to Walmart. We borrowed one of Sam’s Club’s double carts. lol Oh well, I had two kids who fit nicely into the Sam’s Club carts! :) The girls had fun sitting together and playing with whatever toys they could grab off the shelves as I went down the aisle. lol It was a great way to spend Valentines day, honestly! My two girls were better Valentines than any man could be! I had a great day filled with the love of my girls’ and some good food too. (Red Lobster!) But I think I posted about that previously. lol

Last weekend eHarmony had their “free communication weekend” and I took advantage of it. I took some time to communicate with some people that I felt I could have a connection with. I met 3 men who I am now e-mailing and texting with. One guy, in particular, I think I have a great connection with. He’s very flirtatious, very sweet, and very kind. I am going on a date on Friday. Dinner and a movie. (I’m going to eat on Nutrisystem plan!) I’m excited about going on the date, really. :)

Alayna had a bad stomach ache tonight, so she went to sleep at 9pm. Olivia, on the other hand, is still running around here causing chaos. I really have to clean up tomorrow because of the chaos. Don’t you love how small kids can make such a huge mess.

Just a jumble of stuff.

The Imagination Movers concert proved to be awesome, on Monday evening! My daughter and I had so much fun and loved it! The stage was set up just like their Imagination Warehouse in the show and they had a story line so it wasn’t just a concert. It really kept the kids’ attention and got them involved by helping them “look” for Smitty’s voice. :) It really really proved to be a great show. I would definitely spend the money to take Alayna again, because she really did enjoy it. There was a packed house of 2-6 year olds and they were all dancing, singing and participating. The Movers were in the audience most of the time interacting with the kids.

The only complaint I have is about the E-Bay seller who sold me the tickets. She told me that the tickets were third row and “So awesome and close, my daughter would be able to reach out and touch the Movers.” She was full of crap. In reality, they were THIRD row from the back of the venue (orchestra). That upset me because my daughter wanted to be third row. She also told me we were on the left side when we ended up on the far right side. At least we were able to move down when people shifted, and we had a great time, but it was upsetting to me to spend $100 I didn’t even have on these seats when they were crappy. People around me paid $30 each ticket. (Face price.)

So, I have a new recipe that I want to share with everyone, actually. It’s yum yum yummy! I had it for dinner last night and crave more! Of course, I had the Nutrisystem version, but I will alter it to be a regular version for everyone to eat. :) It’s probably better with more Alfredo sauce anyway! I will post it later today. I have to get to HSBC bank somewhere in New York. (Bardonia, I have no idea where that is!) for a Mystery Shop job before they close!

I’m excited that I was invited to my friend’s family event on Saturday night. Of course it’s quite far away (almost an hour) but I’m going to enjoy getting dressed up and actually going somewhere with friends and other people. I’m very excited and my mom is more than happy to watch the kids. :)

I’ll post some Imagination Mover pictures and the recipe a little later!

We’re not gonna pay RENT!! :)

Today was one of the best days that I have had in a long time.  It started out by going to Sesame Street Live: Elmo Makes Music with my two daughters, Alayna and Olivia.  The girls absolutely LOVED it.  They loved going into New York City, they loved the show and absolutely loved seeing Elmo!  My 3year old was so happy that I gave her $15 to get whatever she wanted to get as memorabilia.  She got a Big Bird plushy doll. :)  She’s sleeping with that, right now!  I only have one complaint about that, that being that the show was a little long.  2 hours is very long for children and all of the kids were getting antsy!  Though, I am very happy I won those tickets, because I probably wouldn’t have thought to buy them myself and my 1 year old absolutely had a great time!  It was so good to see her dancing and clapping and just happy!  It was her first time going to a live show and she loved seeing her favorite characters in person!

When I was on my way home from there, my friend called me.  She asked me if I was going to the NJPAC to see Rent.  I wasn’t planning on it because my friend Gina said she wasn’t able to go.  Turns out, she bought her ticket last night and was going to be going to the show.  At this point, it was 12:30, I was just getting my car to drive home (which is about 30 minutes from NYC) and then I would have 20 minutes to drive to Newark from my house to get to the NJPAC.  I told her I’d go, I just had to get home to drop my kids off.  Thankfully, no traffic home, my mom agreed to watch the kids, and I went off!

It must have been meant to be that I was there, because I was waiting in a very long box office line to buy a ticket when they said the show was almost sold out.  I was certain that either I’d get no tickets or I’d get terrible tickets and not be able to see anything.  I was standing on the line talking to my friend on the phone when this woman comes past saying she has one ticket she was looking to sell for $40.  ($40 less than face price.)  I asked her where it was and she said fourth row center orchestra!  Of course, I TOOK IT!  I bought it from her and saw Rent from FOURTH ROW CENTER!  Oh My God…it was amazing.  Just amazing.  Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal were amazing.  No one could ever take their places as Mark and Roger.  They ARE Mark and Roger.  Perfect together, great chemistry, amazing show.  The other cast members were great as well! The guy who played Angel was perfect as was Mimi!

I’d love to write more, but I am exhausted right now. I’ve been awake since 7am!  I will definitely elaborate on this tomorrow!

Welcome to our hectic life!

Happy Valentines Day!  I came to the conclusion long long ago that I didn’t understand Valentines Day.  Do you really need one singled out and definitely overly advertised and commercialized day to show the one you love that you love them?  What about us single folks?  Personally, I think it’s a day that men get to compete over who gets their girlfriends the best presents.  That’s what it seems like!  Honestly, I think the entire concept is just stupid.  None the less, I celebrate it with my kids.  My little girls were my Valentines today.  They are the best Valentines that a mother could ever have!

Since it was a special holiday, my girls, my mother and I had a great day out.  We all agreed to go to Red Lobster, since we don’t get that treat often.  I offered to pay since I know my mother is struggling right now. (And I got my paycheck today in the mail, thank goodness!)  Our dinner was amazing.  Of course, I completely fell off my Nutrisystem diet and had a lot of bad bad things that a dieter shouldn’t eat, but I don’t feel guilty.  I was sharing a special dinner and a special day with my family and I didn’t go completely overboard.

Afterwards, we took a trip to Walmart and had so much fun.  We probably spent a good 2 hours there! (I love Walmart and don’t get there everyday since it is quite a distance from me.)  Alayna and Olivia both got teasets, which they are now playing with!  Olivia got a Fisher Price learning tea set and Alayna got a Disney Princesses tea set.  They’re having a teaparty in the living room, as we speak!

When I got home tonight, thankfully, the Imagination Movers tickets were sitting in our mailbox.  Greatful that Fed Ex didn’t take it back to the post office since we weren’t home!  I checked to make sure they were 3rd row and felt a great feeling, even though I spent $100 on $60 tickets, I felt a feeling that every mother feels when they are going to make their daughter’s dream come true. :)  We’re going to have the time of our lives at that show!
