  • Who am I?

Yes, it is true! I wear my pajamas most of the day! My family have named me, lovingly, the Pajama Mama! I am a single 23 year old mommy from the NYC Metro area loving every minute of the giggles, tears, smiles, boo boos, hugs and kisses. I love my first full time job as a mommy! Other than mommy, I also run a jewelry design company as well as working as a merchandiser.

Welcome to our hectic life!

Published by rkrissy at 7:26 pm under family, kids Edit This

Happy Valentines Day!  I came to the conclusion long long ago that I didn’t understand Valentines Day.  Do you really need one singled out and definitely overly advertised and commercialized day to show the one you love that you love them?  What about us single folks?  Personally, I think it’s a day that men get to compete over who gets their girlfriends the best presents.  That’s what it seems like!  Honestly, I think the entire concept is just stupid.  None the less, I celebrate it with my kids.  My little girls were my Valentines today.  They are the best Valentines that a mother could ever have!

Since it was a special holiday, my girls, my mother and I had a great day out.  We all agreed to go to Red Lobster, since we don’t get that treat often.  I offered to pay since I know my mother is struggling right now. (And I got my paycheck today in the mail, thank goodness!)  Our dinner was amazing.  Of course, I completely fell off my Nutrisystem diet and had a lot of bad bad things that a dieter shouldn’t eat, but I don’t feel guilty.  I was sharing a special dinner and a special day with my family and I didn’t go completely overboard.

Afterwards, we took a trip to Walmart and had so much fun.  We probably spent a good 2 hours there! (I love Walmart and don’t get there everyday since it is quite a distance from me.)  Alayna and Olivia both got teasets, which they are now playing with!  Olivia got a Fisher Price learning tea set and Alayna got a Disney Princesses tea set.  They’re having a teaparty in the living room, as we speak!

When I got home tonight, thankfully, the Imagination Movers tickets were sitting in our mailbox.  Greatful that Fed Ex didn’t take it back to the post office since we weren’t home!  I checked to make sure they were 3rd row and felt a great feeling, even though I spent $100 on $60 tickets, I felt a feeling that every mother feels when they are going to make their daughter’s dream come true. :)  We’re going to have the time of our lives at that show!

We didn’t do anything really over the top today. My husband said that the other men that he works with were freaking out because they had not bought their wives anything, and he told them that it was just another day for us. The fact of the matter is that we spoil each other all year anyway.
