  • Who am I?

Yes, it is true! I wear my pajamas most of the day! My family have named me, lovingly, the Pajama Mama! I am a single 23 year old mommy from the NYC Metro area loving every minute of the giggles, tears, smiles, boo boos, hugs and kisses. I love my first full time job as a mommy! Other than mommy, I also run a jewelry design company as well as working as a merchandiser.

Today was one of the best days that I have had in a long time.  It started out by going to Sesame Street Live: Elmo Makes Music with my two daughters, Alayna and Olivia.  The girls absolutely LOVED it.  They loved going into New York City, they loved the show and absolutely loved seeing Elmo!  My 3year old was so happy that I gave her $15 to get whatever she wanted to get as memorabilia.  She got a Big Bird plushy doll. :)  She’s sleeping with that, right now!  I only have one complaint about that, that being that the show was a little long.  2 hours is very long for children and all of the kids were getting antsy!  Though, I am very happy I won those tickets, because I probably wouldn’t have thought to buy them myself and my 1 year old absolutely had a great time!  It was so good to see her dancing and clapping and just happy!  It was her first time going to a live show and she loved seeing her favorite characters in person!

When I was on my way home from there, my friend called me.  She asked me if I was going to the NJPAC to see Rent.  I wasn’t planning on it because my friend Gina said she wasn’t able to go.  Turns out, she bought her ticket last night and was going to be going to the show.  At this point, it was 12:30, I was just getting my car to drive home (which is about 30 minutes from NYC) and then I would have 20 minutes to drive to Newark from my house to get to the NJPAC.  I told her I’d go, I just had to get home to drop my kids off.  Thankfully, no traffic home, my mom agreed to watch the kids, and I went off!

It must have been meant to be that I was there, because I was waiting in a very long box office line to buy a ticket when they said the show was almost sold out.  I was certain that either I’d get no tickets or I’d get terrible tickets and not be able to see anything.  I was standing on the line talking to my friend on the phone when this woman comes past saying she has one ticket she was looking to sell for $40.  ($40 less than face price.)  I asked her where it was and she said fourth row center orchestra!  Of course, I TOOK IT!  I bought it from her and saw Rent from FOURTH ROW CENTER!  Oh My God…it was amazing.  Just amazing.  Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal were amazing.  No one could ever take their places as Mark and Roger.  They ARE Mark and Roger.  Perfect together, great chemistry, amazing show.  The other cast members were great as well! The guy who played Angel was perfect as was Mimi!

I’d love to write more, but I am exhausted right now. I’ve been awake since 7am!  I will definitely elaborate on this tomorrow!
